What is Cerakote?
Do I Need to Disassemble My Gun?
Yes and no. Yes, all firearms need to be completely detail stripped prior to coating. This means all internal and external parts removed from frames, receivers, and slides as well as sights and extractors removed from pistol slides.
You can do this yourself if you prefer. Or, we can disassemble and reassemble your firearms for you. Armorer’s fees vary, please see price list or contact us about pricing.
What colors do you have?
That depends. We generally keep about 12-15 of the most popular colors in stock – this means black, greens, tans, browns, grays, silvers, and the random red, white, blue, etc. We probably have something close to what you’re looking for.
If not, please contact us about special order colors. Ask us about pearl and colorshift clear coat colors, perfect for race guns or just something with a little more flash.
Can I Ship My Gun to You From Another State?
I live in another state, can I ship my gun to you? Do I have to use an FFL to ship a gun?
Yes, you can ship your guns to us. No, you do not need to use an FFL to ship to us. ATF regs allow a non-licensed individual to ship a firearm to an FFL gunsmith for repair or modification and for the FFL to ship the firearm directly back to the individual. There is no transfer of ownership, thus no requirement for an FFL on your end. Long guns can be shipped via FedEx, UPS, or United States Postal Service. Handguns must be shipped via common carrier (not USPS).
How Much Does It Cost?
That depends. Just click on the Price List menu above. For a specific quote on your project, please contact us about pricing. Don’t forget to ask about our discounts for military and first responders.
